Earlier St. Anley exulted about golden fields of barley.
Now look what has happened ...

As it says in the folk song ...
They've cut him off at the knee!

... and bunged him on a cart.

Then hired men with crabtree sticks cut him skin from bone.
And the miller has served him worse than this ...
                                    He's geround him between two stones.
